Marc Ramos teams up with Naturtint to show how to achieve high fashion edgy looks

Marc Ramos has teamed up with Naturtint, a range of gentle home hair colourants, to show you how to achieve high fashion, edgy looks at home yourself or with the help of a good friend, without having to use lots of nasty chemicals on your hair and scalp:

Graduation colour for volume: “This is a great colouring technique as it helps achieve a fuller hair effect by simply using a combination of colours” explains Marc. “To get this look choose three different colours of a similar depth and tone from the Naturtint range, one which is your desired shade, and two others that complement it. Apply your desired shade throughout the whole root area; then starting at your crown, divide your hair into three sections of similar size. Apply your desired shade again through one section of hair, and the other two colours through the other two sections of hair.”

Shadow colour for depth: “This is a really simply but effective technique that enhances depth by adding a shadow to the underneath layers of your hair, and visually this strengthens the baseline giving you a stronger, edgier look” says Marc. “First choose a colour no more than two shades darker than your hair, then separate your hair into two sections by zig zagging your fingers across your scalp from ear to ear to ensure the colour blends right through. Next apply your chosen colour to the lower layer of your hair.”

Focal point: “If you really want to stand out from the crowd and add interest to your hair-do, focal point is the colouring technique for you!” explains Marc. “Simply section off a small triangle of your hair from your natural parting, then choose a hair colour that is either a different tone or shade than the rest of your hair. Apply the colour to the chosen segment of hair to create a edgy, unique look.”
