Staying seasonally-slick is essential to any fashion follower, but it’s not all about changing your attire. Updating your hair is just as crucial. Naturtint is a luxurious permanent hair colourant with a chemically light formulation that can give your hair a complete colour overhaul – whatever the time of year.

One person who knows which hair trends are hot and which are not is Marc Ramos, Naturtint’s brand new Colour Consultant. With over 10 years in the industry, and having coloured the fabulous locks of countless celebrities, Marc Ramos is the ‘It’ colourist of the moment.

To help you make the most of your hair at home, Marc is here to give you a sneak peek at two of Spring/Summer 2008’s most fabulous hair looks:

Vamp Red
“A huge colour trend for Spring/Summer 08 is a luxurious vampish red look. Basically, red hot glossy hairdos with soft hints of auburn like Lily Cole and Nicola Roberts from Girls Aloud. To reproduce these looks yourself at home try Naturtint in Arizona Copper, which is a beautiful deep red tone. If you are a blonde wanting to achieve this look stick to heavy deep gold shades, like Naturtint in Sandy Golden Blonde, to add depth to your existing colour. If you are feeling daring, try the focal point colour technique: take a light copper shade of Naturtint (like Copper Blonde), section off a small section of your hair from your natural parting. Simply apply the colour to the chosen segment of hair for a vibrant eye-catching look!”

Dirty Blonde
“Dirty blondes were huge on the catwalk for Spring/Summer 08, and fashion forward celebs like Kate Moss, Kirsten Dunst and SJP have been rocking this trend – showing that ‘dirty’ is no longer a bad thing, but an A-list trend! To achieve this look steer away from your warm blondes and work with more natural ash tones, like Naturtint in Wheat Germ Blonde or Ash Blonde. If you are already working with existing blonde colour, try not too overlap your colour for too long, as this will not achieve the desired look.”

Naturtint is the first permanent hair colourant that is free from ammonia and is formulated with active vegetable extracts and selected organic ingredients. Because it is also free from parabens and resorcinol, Naturtint is a gentle hair treatment that is kinder to your hair. And thanks to its nutrient-rich formulation you will not only achieve flawless, on-trend colour, but your hair is left in tip-top condition too.

Available in 29 shades from jet blacks, glossy blondes and russet reds, Naturtint, £8.99, is available from Holland & Barrett, independent health food stores, Selfridges, Harrods and via mail order.

Caution: ALWAYS conduct a skin sensitivity test and a strand test 48 hours prior to use. This will ensure that you do not have an unexpected allergic reaction to the product and that you achieve the colour you desire.
