Anne Sémonin's northern flagship at the Verbena Spa, located within the Feversham Arms Hotel in Helmsley, near York, offers a relaxed spa experience with a cosy, rather than clinical, atmosphere. Complimentary iced tea, book reading and relaxation areas, spa-tisserie and spa-tapas cuisine and a beautifully fragrant south facing spa garden are some of the touches that make this stylishly eclectic spa truly special.

The spa has 7 treatment rooms including one double room for couples, featuring natural stone walls and individual pieces of wooden furniture. Facilities include Saunarium, Aromatherapy Room, Salt Vapour Room, Monsoon Feature Shower, Ice Cave, Outdoor Hot Tub and Outdoor Heated Pool.

Bringing the full range of tailor-made Parisian spa treatments and beauty products to Yorkshire for the first time, Anne Sémonin has designed a bespoke spa menu for the Verbena Spa including a number of new exclusive signature treatments. Anne Sémonin has also provided advanced training for the spa’s therapists and full support with expert operational advice and assistance from their spa consultancy team. Anne Sémonin’s famous attention to detail can be seen in new touches such as the deliciously refreshing verbena sorbet served at the end of a guests’ spa treatment.

Each Anne Sémonin experience begins with a private consultation in which guests meet their Anne Sémonin therapist who carefully examines the skin, identifying its needs to suit lifestyle and daily challenges. Using information obtained here, the Anne Sémonin therapist adapts the spa treatment to make it highly personal and “made to measure”. The cryotherapy power of the Anne Sémonin Express Radiance Ice Cubes when applied over the face, neck and décolleté will instantly revive, lift and firm the skin. The skin is deeply cleansed and polished, steam and extraction will be performed if necessary and an intensive pressure point facial and ice eye massage will leave your complexion visibly brightened and glowing. Bubbling Mud For Boys
This fabulous warm bubbling marine mineral mud is applied all over the back, neck and shoulders to release tension and tight muscles. Whilst the mud bubbles away the feet and lower legs are carefully massaged to improve circulation allowing a powerful sense of wellbeing. Remove the mud and this treatment also includes a de-stress back, neck and shoulder massage and soothing scalp massage combining the use of warmed stones and cold ice pressure-point face and eye massage. Precious Time
It is also possible to book Anne Sémonin “time” rather than set treatments.
