Tatiana Hair Extensions opens salon in Manchester
(31/05/2010)
Tatiana Karelina, owner of Tatiana Hair Extensions, has picked Manchester’s Northern Quarter as the next location for her chain of salons.
With celebrity clients including Tamara and Petra Ecclestone, Cheryl Cole, Jamelia, Miss Great Britain Gemma Garret and Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace (ex- Big Brother star) and being a regular contributor to hair and beauty features in national publications, Tatiana is set to make her mark on Manchester.
Tatiana followed her ambition for doing creative things with hair and started working at a leading London hair extension studio eight years ago before opening her first boutique salon in Kensington, London.
Tatiana is bringing her work up to the North of England and welcome new faces to the salon. For many of her existing clients who travel to London for her services the journey time is now drastically reduced.
Tatiana enthuses; “There’s a real gap in the market in Manchester for high quality, professional hair extensions but this shouldn’t only be associated with glitz and glamour. A lot of my work is also with customers suffering hair loss, whether that from being affected by cancer, alopecia or other conditions. I’m delighted to be bringing Tatiana Hair Extensions to Manchester and opening my doors to the Manchester public.”
Hair extensions are continually under fire due to the often unethical ways they are sourced. Tatiana prides herself on sourcing properly and fairly. Hair extensions can be found on the market for a low price however they are of questionable quality, which is what customers need to consider.
Tatiana personally travelled with singer Jamelia to Russia for a BBC3 documentary titled “Whose hair is it anyway?” which followed Tatiana sourcing hair extensions and showcasing the ‘fair’ price to pay for Virgin Hair (unprocessed hair). Virgin Russian hair is known throughout the industry as the best hair to use for extensions and Tatiana personally sources her hair from small rural communities where the diet although simple, is high in nutrients and vitamins and low in sugar, salt and processed fats.
Being Russian herself, Tatiana travels back to her home country six times a year to source hair. In doing this she can ensure that her clients are getting the best quality hair and by cutting out the middle man (who works selling the hair onto UK salons) the client gets the most competitive price.
Whether the goal is to add length or volume, Tatiana works with clients to create to most natural looking extensions ensuring customers leave feeling confident and fabulous.
