Editorial policy - skin care, make up, perfume and toiletry News Articles
The Cosmetic News Portal is an authoritative site, dedicated to providing cosmetic contractors, installers, specifiers and professionals, the latest and most comprehensive data about makeup, toiletry and perfume, beauty products.
Editorial guidelines: We welcome submissions of articles and case studies, as long as our editorial guidelines are respected. Articles we publish on the Cosmetic News Portal must be appropriate and of value to our readers. As a general rule, a good article should have the following characteristics:
- New and different: If this topic has already been covered extensively, then it is unlikely that we will cover it again, unless you can give it a new "angle" (new application for an existing technology, significant improvement, etc)
- Focussed: Our readership is highly targeted and is made up of cosmetic professionals, end users, installers, resellers and manufacturers who have a strong interest in makeup, toiletry and perfume, systems and services. We will only consider for publication articles that are relevant to our audience, i.e. strongly related to the Cosmetic, Beauty and Skin Care markets. We are not interested in general business articles. We are also not interested in self promotion (such as awards won, etc).
Submit an article:
Click on the link above to submit your press release or case study to our editorial team. By using our online form to submit your article, you ensure that it will be seen by our editorial team (other methods of submission, such as email, are possibly less reliable and less efficient).
Alternatively, you can also submit your press releases, case studies or opinion articles, via email. We will only review releases sent to us either as Word document or as plain text emails (no PDFs please). Releases sent by post will not be considered.
Technical: The minimum length for an article should be 500 words, preferably 1,000 words or more. Conversely to print magazines, the Cosmetic News Portal has no restriction on the length of the articles we publish.
Features list and editorial calendar: Unlike print magazines which often have a lead time of several months, we cover the latest news as and when they happen. We are convinced this is a significant benefit of our online publication: When you read something in print magazines, it is likely that this information is already at least several weeks old - at the Cosmetic News Portal, we publish articles on a daily basis and our breaking news bring our readership the immediate information they require.
Priority review of your article: We receive hundreds of press releases and articles for review every week. All articles we receive are considered, however we cannot guarantee that we will publish all the articles are receive - there are just too many of them. With the 'Priority Review' option, you can ensure that your article will be given preference over all the other articles we receive and that it will be reviewed and given priority consideration over non-priority articles for publication in one or several of our online publications. However, please note that our editorial team will still edit all priority review articles, and that our editorial guidelines also apply to priority review articles.
Terms and conditions: We reserve the right to edit and publish any material that is sent to us - if you do not want us to publish your release, then do not send it to us. We also reserve the right not to publish releases that we deem are not relevant to our target audience. For more details, please read our detailed terms and conditions.
